Artificial Root Systems That Mimic Natural Water Uptake MechanismsWateroot is a bionic water collecting system created from the concept of plants absorbing water in the soil. In West Asia, most of the water flows into the ground instead of being collected while raining. To solve the drought in the area, Wateroot is designed to recollect water which flows into the soil and to ensure that we can make the best use of our natural resources.
The water storage range of Wateroot is 13.5 times bigger than normal containers with the same diameter. Besides, there is no need for the bottle mouth of Wateroot to be opened while restoring water, which reduces the evaporation of the water.
Wateroot can filter and transport the water through Forward Osmosis technology. Compare Reserve Osmosis technology to Forward Osmosis technology, the latter wastes less power and produces less pollution.
